Lady Diamond is the drag monicker of actor Simon Morrison-Baldwin.

 

Originally from Perth, Simon moved to Melbourne in 2003 to attend the Victorian College of the Arts Drama School, graduating in 2005. Since then he has been active in the Melbourne independent theatre scene, and has performed in such places as: The Seymour Centre, Carlton Courthouse, Fairfax Theatre, Mechanics Institute, Adelaide Fringe Garden of Unearthly Delights, The Famous Speigeltent, Tony Starr's Kitten Club, The Butterfly Club, EuroTrash and many others.

 

Most recently seen during the Melbourne Comedy Fest as Narrator of the live superhero radio play BULLET, he continues  to carve out a niche as a performer, from an impressively bustled Lady Bracknell (Rough & Tumble, Adelaide Fringe), to a ballad-singing Frankenstein’s monster (Oh! The Horror!) to a 7” tall Mother of 3 fighting the H factor (The Joy Before Thinking, Theatreworks). Oh, and lets not forget the sadistic lesbian prison Matron of Cellblock Booty (Sisters Grimm)!

Lady Diamond is perhaps best known as the drag door-bitch for the infamous GAY SHAME parties and has just appeared in the video for Sex on Toast's awesome single Takin' Over.

 

She can also be seen in a range of 'edutainment' videos for the Online Hate Prevention Institute, discussing such things as Anti-Semitism online and the Racial Discrimination Act
